GAF Roof Replacement, Laurel Circle
This one is on the same street as our office. We tore off the old shingles, cut out the damaged decking and put down 20 sheets of 5/8-inch fire-retardant plywood. The new roof is a full GAF system: WeatherWatch leak barrier at the eaves, rakes, valleys, wall intersections and penetrations, FeltBuster synthetic underlayment over the rest of the deck, Pro-Start starter strip, Timberline HDZ shingles and Seal-A-Ridge caps. We replaced the step flashing where needed and every pipe boot, and added a Cobra SnowCountry ridge vent.
Seamless Gutters and Gutter Guards on a Solar Home, Jericho Valley Drive
This home carries a large solar array, and the gutter over the garage sat right under the bottom row of panels, filled with leaves and debris. We removed the old gutter system and installed new seamless aluminum gutters with new miters at the corners, new elbows and downspouts, and downspout extensions to carry water away from the foundation. Then we covered the gutters with guards so leaves stay out and water still drains.
Full Re-Deck, GAF Roof and Gutters, Burgundy Lane
The old shingles were streaked and worn out. After tear-off we took the roof down to the rafters and re-decked it with 60 sheets of 7/16-inch OSB. Then we installed the same full GAF system as on Laurel Circle, with WeatherWatch leak barrier, FeltBuster underlayment, Timberline HDZ shingles, new step and chimney flashing, new pipe boots, and a Cobra SnowCountry ridge vent. We finished the job with new 6-inch K-style gutters and 3×4-inch downspouts.
